Inspiration From Coach Blue

The following was provided by Coach Blue:

I received a book for Christmas called "Where Else Would You Rather Be?" by Marv Levy. The Buffalo Bills played in frigid weather many times.

They used the adage:
When it's too tough for them...It's just right for us!

Here's the story from the book.
In World War I, the German army had advanced relentlessly within 25 miles of the French capital of Paris.  The US Fourth Marine Brigade was sent to meet the enemy in what would be known as the "Battle of Belleau Wood".  After 3 days of heavy combat, the marines had halted the German forward progress, but suffered heavy casualties in the process.  With only one day of rest, the dog-tired, exhausted marines were ordered to attack the Germans across an exposed field of wheat.  The German army was now entrenched several hundred yards away.  The few surviving marines - tired, bloodied, shaken, and without supplies, were hardly able to believe that they were now being directed to make what appeared to be a forlorn counterattack.
It was then, as their doubts were most evident, that the commanding officer, Colonel "Hard John" Hughes, stood up and shouted to the leathernecks, "When it's too tough for them, it's just right for us!" Then Colonel Hughes commanded, "Follow me!"  whereupon he sprinted out into the wheat field.  The marines followed, and the battle that was to turn the tide of World War I ensued.
