Lady Eagles Serve Their Community at Rock the Locker Bash
The Georgetown Lady Eagles showed that their impact extends far beyond the basketball court as members of the program volunteered at the Stock the Locker Bash at Camp Briteside.
Seventeen Lady Eagles gave their time to help make the community event a success, stepping in wherever they were needed throughout the evening. The girls welcomed guests, ran games for children, painted faces, sorted donations, picked up trash, and helped organizers with countless other tasks.
Coach Jordan Ramey and Sydney Ramey were also instrumental in helping coordinate the Lady Eagles’ involvement and contributing to the success of the event.

The following day, the Lady Eagles received an incredible message from Ashley Fraser, Director of Operations, praising the young women for the way they represented their program and their community.
Fraser said, “The Lady Eagles are some of the best volunteers the organization has ever had—they were polite, enthusiastic, and their work ethic and willingness to step up wherever help was needed, was outstanding.” With several volunteers backing out at the last minute, she shared that the event truly could not have been accomplished without the girls.
The praise speaks volumes about the character of these student-athletes. While wins, championships, and accomplishments on the court are important, moments like these demonstrate what it truly means to be part of the Lady Eagle basketball program.
Coach Farney said, “These young women represented Georgetown High School, Lady Eagle Basketball, their coaches, their families, and their community with class.”
